We strive to be an active participant in the community and feel our positive contributions to society are noteworthy. Below you will find samples of the many ways 1Degree® has made a difference.
Late January 2010, we conducted a focus group with numerous business leaders from the greater Seattle area. The twin goals of the meeting were to foster community and gain better insight into business decision making.
From time-to-time, we provide pro bono services to clients that offer unique benefits to society. Two clients are Maureen Manley, owner and operator of Spirit in Motion and Tiller’s Folly, an Acoustic Roots/Celtic Folk Band from Canada.
Maureen Manley, a professional cyclist who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the apex of her career in 1991, is now an inspirational speaker and life coach. Maureen’s website, designed by 1Degree's team, has aided in the growth of her business, Spirit in Motion. For more information on Maureen Manley or Spirit in Motion www.maureenmanley.com
Tiller’s Folly, an acoustic roots band hailing from Canada, routinely performs educational concerts at schools throughout the Pacific Northwest. Unique and entertaining, the concerts provide students an exciting and innovative way to learn local and regional history. We have established a dynamic web presence for Tiller’s Folly, enabling them to grow and better connect with their ever-expanding fan base. For more on Tiller’s Folly www.tillersfolly.com
Partnering with various local and regional educational institutions we have plans to offer our proprietary 1Site™ website development software for use as an educational tool. These partnerships will allow for students to engage and become excited about the future of internet technology. This is a demonstration of our commitment to sound corporate citizenship and philanthropy.
